Terms and Conditions of use

These terms and conditions (the ‘Terms’) govern your use of this website (the ‘Website’). Please read through the Terms. If you do not agree with any of the Terms, do not use this Website. In consideration of Maths Doctor allowing you to access the pages of the Website you are deemed to accept the following Terms:

• Maths Doctor, private tuition
• This Website is operated by Maths Doctor Ltd. Company No:6776722. Registered office: Enterprise House, 83a Western Road, Brighton BN3 1JB.
• Your right to cancel
• You may cancel at anytime. There are no upfront charges or “lock in” periods. You will only pay for services you have received or appointments that you cancel on the day they are scheduled to occur (Same day cancelations are charged in full).
• Our quality of service guarantee
• If you feel that you have not received value for money or if you feel that you have received a poor quality of service, please contact the Principal directly. (simon@mathsdoctor.net). We offer a no quibble refund (full or partial) for any client that is dissatisfied, provided this is brought to our attention immediately.
• Returning Equipment
• Equipment purchased through Maths Doctor can be returned for a refund. If the equipment is in the same conditions as when supplied, you will be entitled to a full refund. If the equipment has been used or appears to have been damaged, we will still provide a refund, however the exact amount will be decided on a case by case basis. You will be required to pay for return postage.
• Cancelling before the first lesson has occurred
• Before any lessons can occur you will require an installation service. This service is charged for and is not refundable once completed. If however you wish to cancel the installation appointment you may do so without cost, except on the day of the appointment. (Same day cancelations are charged in full).
• Pre booking and cancelling lessons.
• You can pre book any number of lessons in advance without charge. You may reschedule or cancel any lessons without charge, unless you cancel a lesson on the same day it occurs. (Same day cancelations are charged in full).
• Booking Lessons
• Students and Parents are responsible for booking appointments directly with the tutor through the calendar system on the Maths Doctor Member’s Area. It is possible to reschedule and cancel appointments through this system, except on the day that they occur.
• Payment Terms
• You will be required to set up an account by phone using either a debit or credit card. Payment will be deducted automatically from your card, on a pay-as-you-go basis. Payments are deducted for each lesson on or after the day they occur. It is important to note that your bank card details will not be kept within our Members area and are protected. Cards are processed directly through Lloyds TSB merchant terminal.
• Technical Failure
• If a lesson fails completely due to technical failure you will not be charged for that lesson. If part of the lesson fails due to technical failure you will only be charged for the part of the lesson that was delivered successfully. If technical failure prevents a number of lessons occurring, and the technical failure is due to your equipment or connection, we may require you to test your system in advance of each lesson. If problems are identified before a lesson then the help desk will assist you to correct your systems at no charge. If extensive assistance is required, such as installing a second computer, or a full repeat installation of your original computer, this will be charged for at the original installation fee.
• Copyright
• Unless otherwise specified, all copyright and other rights that subsist in the home page and in the sub-domain pages of this Website are owned by or licensed to Maths Doctor. Where the copyright and other rights belong to a third party, it is your responsibility to obtain any licences or permissions that may be required to use such material and you agree to pay any costs or expenses incurred by Maths Doctor which arise as a result of your failure to obtain such licences and permissions.
• Information
• The material on this website (the ‘Information’) is provided for information purposes only. The Information may contain technical inaccuracies and typographical errors or be out of date. Maths Doctor makes no warranty or representation as to the accuracy, completeness or fitness for purpose of the Information or the reliability of access to this website. Maths Doctor accepts no responsibility for keeping the material on this website up to date or any liability for its failure to do so.
