Matt Witchalls (Advanced Maths Head Tutor)

Matt is a highly accomplished mathematician with two masters degrees and a PCGE teaching qualification. He is currently working part time as a mathematics and statistics lecturer and is also an A Level examiner for Edexcel. Both his educational background and working experiences make him the ideal candidate for his role here at Maths Doctor.

As a head tutor for both A Level and advanced mathematics, Matt is able to quickly and accurately assess a pupil’s underlying weakness. He will then design a personal learning plan for each of his pupils and construct a detailed programme of work before allocating an appropriate tutor. He then monitors every single lesson that occurs and provides frequent progress reviews and feedback to both the student (and parent where applicable).

Topics that Matt has tutored for previously include forensic science, further maths, marine physics, marine science, mechanics, quantitative analysis, RAF entrance examinations, research design & methods, statistics, undergraduate pure mathematics, zoology.
